   Well, I’ve been looking around for some place that could order the missing issues, and I’ve been thinking that I might as well buy stuff before I go back to school and all my money’s tied up on courses and textbooks; haven’t had any luck yet, but there’s four stores that look promising, a Japanese cultural centre that might have some ideas, and a friend who lives on the West Coast who owes me a favour.

   I have two warring gut instincts at the moment: one is saying NEED CHAPTER NOW, while the other says to wait until you know if the missing chapters will be in volume 15. If you know for certain that they aren’t, then I’d recommend releasing what you have.

      Well I’m pretty sure they are. Vol 13 stops at chapter 107 (because there is the the Jesus special chapter). That means vol14 begins at 108 and ends at 116. Which means that vol 15 is having all the missing chapters.

   Personally I wouldn’t read the chapters (unless im dying to know.. which is now not the case because i kinda forgot what happened last chapter anyway), but that’s just me, I’m sure there are others who want to read rightaway so, releasing them earlier wouldn’t hurt since you can choose not to read.

   What’s the point in releasing them out of order? It’s a story-driven manga. You skip a few chapters, you skip a chunk of story. That’s no good. You don’t skip a few chapters in a book and call it fine! Waitin’ is best.

   I don’t think releasing the chapters you have right now are a big deal personally. I mean, once the chapters are out, everyone can choose whether to read them or not right? If there are people who want to wait and read them in order, that’s fine, they can choose to ignore the fast-forwarded chapters. For some who like to read things out of order (ie. choosing to read the ending first before starting a book, which I do sometimes), it would be nice if those chapters are out But ultimately, the decision lies with Nihil Sine Nefas as they put in the effort to scanlate, translate, and edit.

    i wouldn’t release it as you said you might not get hte translation and context perfect without the preceding chapters. i dont’ mind waiting. it hurts but i can manage and i will come back here often to check

       You have to consider the chapters as a temptation. Even if a person knows they would benefit from having everything in order, sometimes having the later chapters right in front of you almost forces your hand. Some people can resist, and some — probably the more dedicated — will be drawn to them. We just don’t want to put that temptation out there if most people say they would rather it not there. Also — and I don’t really want to overstate this — there will probably be some minor context issues that might slightly compromise the experience. Unless there was some crazy twist this should be very, very minor, but present nonetheless.

       That said, if more people say they want it, we’ll start releasing (The poll is leaning towards not at the moment though).

       I am starting to think, though, that we might just start releasing a certain amount of time after volume 15 should have been out. Maybe a week if there aren’t any real prospects. I can’t really say for sure the plan at this point, but we’ll see what happens as time goes on.

          Are you guys going to buy volume 15 when it comes out to get the raws, or just wait and see if someone else uploads them? Because depending on money, I wouldn’t mind pinching in and buying the volume, and getting the raws for you, I just guarantee the quality of them.

    Ah, I see that more peeps prefer to wait for the missing chapters. Am going to wait till vol.15 is out. If I have it I may help out with the missing chapters but no promises at this stage.

    well, I don’t get why it is such a big deal…? really, you guys can translate ch 122+ chapters sine you guys will need to translate those future chapters anyway..and for the people who have the paitence to wait, then, they can always wait on their own and don’t read the translated ch 112+ chapters until 118-121 are out, right?

       It’s a big deal because a lot of people feel strongly about it other than us. We want to respect that. Also, patience has a lot to do with the associated temptation. We don’t want to provide that temptation if more people are telling us they don’t want it.

       That said, there are reasonable limits. We are considering releasing the chapters we have a certain amount of time after the volume 15 raws should have been out. We’ll continue evaluating the situation as time goes on.

    I see nothing wrong with waiting for the volume releases. What I’ve always done when there’s a big-ish gap like this is wait until you’re a significant amount behind (say, the length of a volume), and then start releasing chapters at the intervals by which they’re published. Sure, you’re stuck with a large gap between translated and current, but that way when a new volume comes out, you don’t miss a beat and there’s not a rush for raws.

    Well I have to say I really appreciate all the work you’ve done on UDDUP, it’s become one of my favorite manga to read now. If you have access to a Japanese bookstore, I wouldn’t mind donating the money so your group can go out and purchase Vol. 15.

    You guys work so hard on translating the series so fans like me can enjoy it. It’s the least I can do if it means having more UDDUP to read again soon. Of course, someone in the group will have to scan the pages manually which can be tedious, but let me know if I can help with a donation.

    Honeslty, we’re waiting since march, for the people who want to wait, may they wait but I would give my right hand to read the chapters (122 and the others) and I can’t and I can’t do anything about it, because I have no choice.
    I think it’s such a waste for the people like me who would like you to begin releasing 122…. It was a very good idea to make a first poll, it was right sure, but now why don’t you start releasin the chapters ? I’m indredibly grateful for all your hard work and I support you whatever your decision but God, this wait is driving me crazy, it’s almost cruel !

    I am VERY VERY grateful for all your work… but there is over 1/4th of the readers (including me!) who would like to read the chapters 122 and on, and we have been waiting for almost 5 months…
    I think it’s a pity to prevent everybody from reading new UDDUP chapters just because it would be a temptation for those who want to wait. (the readers who really want to wait should be able to resist the temptation!)
    And also the raws for chapters 118 to 121 might never come… so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE could you release chapters 122 and on, for those who want to read it and have been waiting patiently for such a long time !
    (sorry for the mistakes, I’m not a native english speaker)

    i feel that it is taking an intensely long time for the chapters to become available… I feel like the chapters should be released and then readers can read them if they want to or they can wait for the missing chapters as a personal choice
