Good to see a new UDDUP. A bit of bad news comes with it though; our raw provider will no longer be able to provide raws due to the mounting legal pressure coming from Japan. That’ll probably mean that new releases will be significantly delayed unless we are able to find new raw provider. If worse comes to worse, we’ll have to just buy the volumes as they come and scanlate them from there. Anyways, we also have Vagabond raws and are working on them. I’m hopping we can get a chapter out this weekend, but I can promise anything.

I don’t know how old you are, but I’d say the real reason you’re not buying is because:
1: you don’t want to spend the money,
2. you’re afraid that when you buy mangas, your parents will constantly nag at you (more than they usually do). Or worse, they may even tear them apart/throw them away.
3. if somebody (the wrong person) finds out that you buy mangas and the words spread, it may drive away the opposite sex.

So, not only is it going to add even more expense to the 2 THOUSAND dollars I have already invested in Manga, it’s going to take a long time to get to me. I’ve heard bad things about shipping over seas, have shipped from overseas before and found that my purchase was a rip off and or damaged, with no way to send it back due to shipping; and I don’t want to risk that with my Manga since mine is kept in mint condition.

“Troll” is just a new word for an old idea; people who do something to get a rise out of someone else. You might not be aiming to do it, but if you act in a way that the rest of us can’t discern as different, it becomes moot; you become a de facto troll.

That said, just try to be more mindful of how you might come off when commenting and try to explain anything controversial clearly and logically (if it really needs to be said at all), and you should be fine. I think people are incredibly reasonable (trolls and similar such people aside), even if they disagree with you, if you’ve put some thought into how you’re expressing your thoughts. Good luck with your future comments, but remember, we will bring the hammer down if need be.

Why worry about it? It’s a mild annoyance for readers, but if anything, this could prove a reprieve for the people actually doing the work, since there will no longer be the expectation that you’ll shove out a translation the instant the raw comes in every week.

Actually, I enjoy working on UDDUP translations every time I get my hands on the new raws. Also, it’s much, much nicer knowing that your going to get the raws at regular rate rather than potentially getting a bunch at once or having a gap (both situations can be terrible, even if I normally enjoy the work).

Anyways, I don’t get too bugged by fans asking when the next release is coming out; I can personally understand the sentiment. Besides that, we don’t really get a lot of them anyways. I guess that might change, but whatever.

IF *crosses fingers* I can find the Young Gangan magazine at the Kinokuniya in my place, then I guess buying the mags shouldn’t be a problem to me since I believe they shouldn’t be too costly anyway (note: at least the Hana no Yume ones are not!). I don’t really know off the top of my head. We use mag raws, so there’s not really any clear divisions. Most of the time, though, the numbers of chapters in any given volume are the same, although they might give or take one (all provided the series has fairly regular chapter lengths). There are probably volume raws floating around somewhere, and those would have the exact numbers.
